Google announced that they "pruned their pixels" and shot for a completly new look in gmail. They moved Mail, Contacts, and Tasks to the top. In my opinion, this was a much need change, becuase before all the important parts of gmail were lost among the jumbled mess of other buttons. Now, everyhting I need is at the top and grouped together. Way to go Google!
